Google Caffeine: Trying not to Worry

in Google

Google Caffeine, a new technology that improves Google’s indexing infrastructure, will soon go live at one data center, which means that a small percentage of Google’s users will be able to experience the new search. The full Caffeine roll out will only happen after the holidays.

While it’s easy to worry and fret about this change, I suspect there really isn’t much webmasters can do about it. The new Google will likely still rank websites based on text quality and relevancy, and the number and importance of inbound links.

As webmasters, bloggers and consultants, we will simply need to keep doing what we’ve been doing so far – write quality content that includes our keywords (to let Google know what our site is about) and get it out there via social media in hopes of getting quality links back to our sites (to let Google know our site is important and should be ranked higher than the competition).

I normally try not to worry too much about things that are out of my control, and since Google Caffeine seems to be one of those things, I try not to worry about it. My advice to you: don’t worry about it either and just keep doing what you’ve been doing so far.
